أعلنت صحيفة بريطانية مقتل طالبة كويتية «25 عاما» في شقتها بمنطقة بورنموث.

وذكرت ان الشرطة تلقت بلاغا بمقتل الطالبة في شقتها، وهناك عثرت على جثة الطالبة التي اتضح انها تلقت عددا من الطعنات.

وأشارت الى ان السلطات الأمنية البريطانية تمكنت من القبض على المشتبه به في الجريمة.

يذكر أن الخارجية الكويتية ممثلة بالسفارة لم تعلن عن هذه الحادثة

Police Name Alleged Murder Victim

Police have named a foreign student believed to have been murdered in Bournemouth.

The body of Mashael Albasman from Kuwait was found in a flat in St. Michael's Road on the West Cliff on Sunday.

The 25-year-old came to the UK to study last November.

The victim's next of kin have been made aware and the coroner has been informed.

Detectives are now renewing their appeal for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward, with one man still in custody.

Police say a 58-year-old, who is living in Bournemouth, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still helping detectives with their enquires.

Detective Inspector Stewart Balmer, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said:

“The investigation is still ongoing.

“After the formal identification today, I can now confirm that the victim is a 25-year-old Kuwaiti national by the name of Mashael Albasman. She came to the UK to study in November last year.

“We know that the victim and the arrested man are known to each other. It is the circumstances leading up to Mashael’s death that are the focus of our enquiries.

“The suspect was located within the premises and had injuries which required hospital treatment.

“If anyone has heard or seen anything suspicious at the time in the area, I urge them to come forward as soon as possible.

“I am appealing for anyone with information about the incident or who may have known Mashael to contact Dorset Police on the non-emergency number or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 30:185. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.

Murder probe after woman found dead

A woman found dead in a Bournemouth flat was stabbed to death, an inquest has heard.

The body of Kuwaiti student Mashael Albasman, 25, was found on Sunday in a first-floor flat at a property on St Michael's Road.

An inquest which was opened and adjourned in Bournemouth earlier, heard the cause of death was stab wounds.

A man, 58, who was at the property, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

Police were called to what they described as a "serious incident" shortly after noon on Sunday.

The man was known to the victim, said police, and suffered injuries that later needed hospital treatment.
